I put up a document today exploring the idea of rewarding people for the work they do. The general principle is that people should receive bonuses based on how much money they make for us.
This is a bit of a controversial subject. It has been said that bonuses should be done in secret. There is a probably a good point there – but it seems like trying to guess other people’s bonuses would cause a lot more drama than anything else. It seems like the more open and transparent these things are, the fairer they will be.
I’m sure we will have to try a few different things and there will be a few hurt feelings but it’s definitely the right thing to do – to not only help Facepunch, but to properly motivate and reward our employees.
